Maudlin Mama

My sweet baby turned five today. He is growing up way too fast for my liking! It seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. He has been the absolute joy of my life and I really look forward to every new milestone and achievement. But, I sure would be okay with slowing time down a little bit. Not him though, the first words out of his mouth after we wished him happy birthday this morning were, "Next year, when I am six..." Heavy sigh! :)

Yeah, they are usually way happier about it than we are *L* I guess it doesn't get much better. My mom was devastated that I turned 30 this year *LOL*

Awww, poor mama. I was always kind of happy to see mine grow up because it meant there were fewer problems, LOL (or that they were going to get through awkward stages faster!)

D: My mom wants me to get old!

She didn't much care for knowing her Korean age, heh heh heh.

I don't want our kids to get older, either. I get new students in six weeks, and already I'm thinking, "oh, this is our last cooking class together." "Oh, this is the last field trip." "Oh, this is the last time I'm going to yell myself hoarse over you hitting the same girl for the 80th time since Christmas."

Awww, I know how you feel! It's so hard to see them growing up so fast - but yet, you're so proud! Well, have fun w/ your 5 year old this weekend! :)
